also called "organic" diamonds, these stones have been minimally polished and faceted, but retain the texture and quality of diamond rough. the occasional chip in an otherwise polished facet simply adds to the beauty of the stone, giving it a mineral texture while retaining the natural brilliance and sparkle of a diamond. keep an eye out for the glitter of crystalline cleavages casting the full rainbow spectrum in certain angles of light

these stones are "sliced" from diamond rough and faceted to a high polish; notice the naturally-occurring flecks, cracks and feathers making each stone unique

traditional rosecut

the traditional rosecut, invented by Dutch jewelers in the 15th century, these stones have a flat base and a double row of facets that rise to a single point

fancy rosecut

a variation on the traditional rosecut, these stones have more facets, and often more than two rows of facets
